Autism Identification Clinic
What it is
We know that early intervention is important for children identified with Autism.
This assessment offers parents a condensed, but still thorough, lower-cost option for looking into whether their child meets criteria to be identified as Autistic.
It is for children with many Autistic traits who are not yet identified.
It may be suitable for parents who are wanting their child to be assessed/identified earlier than current waitlist times.
What it includes
An Intake Interview with parents.
Questionnaires completed by parents.
An assessment and clinical observations of your child in clinic.
Identification conclusions and recommendations.
A letter noting the Autism identification, if applicable.
A printed copy of a report and recommendations.
The option to attend one parent group to have further questions answered about your child or funding applications.
who may be eligible
Children who:
are age 2-6
Considered “non-speaking.”
Engage in repetitive language.
Differences in nonverbal communication, including stimming while talking or looking elsewhere.
Display security in routines or things occurring the same way.
Have sensory sensitivities (e.g., to noise, touch, food, clothing).
Other professionals have voiced Autistic traits.
