About Lauren
I was born and raised in Chatham-Kent. I have always felt an intrinsic drive to help others, which ultimately led me to pursue my passion for counselling. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and one of my favourite ways to unwind is by going for walks with my golden retriever Charlie.
I take a holistic approach when working with clients by tailoring techniques and interventions to meet the client where they are at. I often draw from a strength-based approach by helping clients recognize and build on their existing resources and capabilities. I also enjoy incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support clients in identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns. Additionally, I like to use a person-centered approach by creating a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space. My ultimate goal is to ensure all clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.
Experience and Affiliations
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I’m currently completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and I will complete the program in August 2025.
I received my Bachelors in Developmental Psychology at the University of Windsor, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science at St. Clair College in Windsor. I have experience working with children between the ages of 2 and 14 in various settings. My time as an Educational Assistant with the St. Clair Catholic District School Board allowed me to build strong and supportive relationships with students. My role was to help students to develop skills in behaviour management, emotional regulation, and individualized support. My current practicum experience as a psychotherapist has helped me to gain the knowledge and practical tools needed to effectively support children, teenagers, and adults in a therapeutic setting. I have co-facilitated group sessions for children ages 7 to 12. The focus of the groups involved exploring emotions and feelings, mindfulness practices, and developing healthy problem-solving skills. I strongly value creating a safe space where all individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow.
About Sarah:
I am originally from Belle River, Ontario and completed a degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor. After graduation, I moved to China where I worked as an English teacher for 1.5 years. Once returning, I completed a Masters degree at the American School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. I spent around 12 years working professionally at the Masters level in Vancouver, British Columbia. In Vancouver, I worked in the field of community living as a program coordinator, with the Fraser Health Authority for a team called Developmental Disabilities Mental Health, and in the private sector. I moved back to Ontario with my family in 2022. In my spare time, I love being out in nature, riding bikes with my son and spending time with my extended family.
My Approach:
I like to take a strength-based approach looking at the family as a system and using their strengths to guide any strategies that I offer. It is important to me that I provide support that is personalized in order to be helpful to the children, youth and their families. I believe that our behaviour is communication and sometimes speaks much louder than words. Rather than correcting the behaviour, I like to investigate what is behind it to better understand my clients and the needs they have in their day to day lives.
Experience and Affiliations:
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I have specialized experience working with Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Parent Education and Consultation, Behavioural Consultation, Intellectual Disability, and Executive Functioning.

Alli Pfaff, MMT, RP (Qualifying), MTA
About Alli:
I was born and raised in Chatham-Kent and recently completed a master’s degree in music therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. During my teenage years, I started exploring music making as a way of making sense of the world and began to recognize creative arts experiences as life resources with deep personal meaning. After high school, I completed a bachelor’s degree in fine arts at York University and deepened my interest in improvisation and the connections between music and the body. I later completed an education degree in the Artist in Community Education program at Queens University and for over 15 years, taught music lessons to children and youth of all abilities in private and institutional settings. Recognizing the impact music was making on students, I wanted a more personal approach and naturally found myself drawn to transitioning my career to music psychotherapy. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my son and extended family & friends and dancing my heart out in community.
Experience and Affiliations:
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Music Therapist Accredited with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists. I have experience working with diverse populations including youth with emotional difficulties, youth and adults who have a developmental disability, people experiencing homelessness or underhoused circumstances, men experiencing criminalization and reintegration, bereavement and end of life care, and long-term care.
